Candorite? Zantabulous!
Feb. 26th, 2007 07:08 pmThe scenario is will hopefully be both self-contained and part of a four part series - if everyone likes it we can hopefully keep it up on a quartrly basis for 2007, whenever Candorite can make it down. If people are only lukewarm on it, well, the other 3 groups that went out will finish their parts of the quest as well. Covering all bases, that's me.
The working plan is entitled "The Fourth Witch", and it shows what happens when you forget to invite *all* of the major magical folk to a royal wedding! The Princess Morphea or Rosso is due to be wed after decades of curse-induced slumber when one of the four witches of Zo takes offense about being snubbed for the grand do of the year. Her poor father, King Glamorgan, just a shade of his former self whose spirit refuses to pass from this realm until he sees his daughter married (and perhaps with heir, which would not do wonders for my wedding night jitters...), once again has to call on the upright folk of Zo to rescue his daughter. Hopefully this time it won't take twenty frikin' years!
For once my darling wife is planning to join us, with a PC designed specifically around the idea of baby care:
Radna d'Raven of Viola is an the offspring of magical ravens that once served as advisors to the great and powerful kings. Alas, whle she does very well on the Thought aspect, Memory tends to elude her.
She's an Expert [+4] at Flying, and Good [+2] at being Small & Sneaky since she's jet black and the size of a small chicken. She also has Good [+2] Vision, and is able to spot things at a distance and locate concealed things. Given her heritage she is an Average [+0] Talking Bird*, with a magical ablity to speak - since this is a magical power Ravdna can speak and understand any language (including birds and some other animals), throw her voice, mimic other people and perform other magic surrounding spoken communication. She's also a Good [+2] Scavenger, able to find food in the wild as well as spot great bargains in the bazzar... and haggle the merchants down to the lowest price! Unfortuately, Ravdna is a Poor [-2] Magpie - she is easily distrated by shiney things, occasionally loses her train of throught and has a Player that might be running after a 10 month old.

For those of you who were wondering what a ZoZ character might look like, there's an example.
Re: Thinking...
Date: 2007-02-27 11:28 am (UTC)He would't even have to be a retainer - the celebration for the big wedding has people from far and wide gathered at the castle, an ideal opportunity for any cluster of random yabbos to get together and go on the 'open to all who dare' quest - but he could be.
Oooh! Oooh! Princess Morphea spent 20 years out cold in Castle Slumber! I wonder if "The Monster Under The Bed" there developed a paternal fondness for her. That would one shot explain his iterest in the poor Princess condition and his position in the court. I can imagine king Glamorgam sitting at his sleeping daughteer's bedside, talking to the air year ftr year and having the bed monster start sympatizing with him. Eventually the two of themm are sharing drinks and playing cards next to her bed during his monthly visits... Let me know if that works for you.
