Creatively, I'm a tabletop role player who inevitably tinkers with game mechanics to try and drive the experiences I want each game to produce. I'm usually running several games, which I expect to detail here.
I grew up a Comics and SF movies/TV geek but don't find a lot of contemporary output to my taste: Maybe that's because I prefer more optimism in my consumed escapism, but maybe it's because I'm a grumpy old man. For all of that, it's been a joy sharing all of these with my daughter as the things I loved as a kid are now the default entertainment medium.
I've got a special needs son, so expect the occasional yelling into the void about the challenges that come with that.
I'm a political liberal who has worked for non-profits for the last decade, trying to make the world a better place one little bit at a time.
I GM my daughter and her friends in a 5 year+_13th_Age_ game. According to them I’m “a bad person who does bad things” when they make poor choices and get themselves in trouble.
