Rachel: Jenny Wren, a beautiful forest maid and cockeyed optimist who can speak with animals and whose singing can produce productive dance scenes/event montages. Orphaned at birth, she was raised in part by Dr. Catseyes.

Diane: Beatrix Bunny, the most kind, brave and clever of bunnies and therefore a current owner of gold shoes of Easter . She is the mother of 20 children, ably midwifed by Dr. Catseyes, and exceedingly well organized.(1)

Jim: Quentin le Crabbe of the Azure Bay Crabbes, a gentle-man thief (he pinches things) with a gruff, short fused exterior masking his basic goodness. Dr. Catsyes helped him with some knee trouble (arthropodic surgery) recently.

And they all lived happily ever after.

This weekend's Zorcerer of Zo game was disrupted as [profile] candorite was made housebound by the Vermont weather. This is a major bummer, as thinng like this keep happening to her. It's like an evil witch was angry with her or something. In any event, since her coming down was the catalyst to try to get extra gaming in this month I just pushed the whole thing off for some further date.

In prep, however, I had made three sample charaters incase Candorite or [profile] kriz1818couldn't come up with anything on the spot. Rather than see them go to waste, I'll put them here. If nothing else, it'll let people know what to expect when we do get this Zo thing rolling. Because there will be Zo. oh yes, my pretties, there will be Zo.

[profile] netcurmudgeon is currently planning on playing a reformed Bridge Troll who moved south to get away from the bad influence of his family. Tag line "Awwwwww, com'on! I haven't eaten a kid in... [pauses to count in head] Years!" No stats as yet.

[profile] evynrudeis going a more suave and stylish route with the Frog Prince. Sent off out of the Frog Embassy by this father (the king of all frogs), the prince is performing Five Labors of Frogdom to prove himself a worthy heir. He is an Excellent Prince [+4] - noble, brave, schooled in self defense & diplomacy and blessed with an Excellent Charisma [+4] that lets him be charming, seductive  or intimidating as needed, his best advantage is the gift of Excellent Shapeshifting [+4]. While he cannot yet match his father - who can change into anything from a fly to fire, from a mountain giant to a snatch of music - the frog prince can adopt the form of any living thing from the size of a tadpole to a horse with a few moments concentration. His problem is his Poor Pride [-2], which makes him disdain the human women who throw themselves at him, get angry when people ask him if he wants to be 'cured' of being a frog and going on tirades about how non-frogs just can't understand the joy and agony of frogness. (I see the hero as a combination of the classic frog prince and a blaxploitaton hero like Shaft, but I'm not sure Evynrude quite agrees.)

More characters as I see them...

[profile] candorite is coming down this weekend! Hazzah! And in honor of her visit [profile] netcurmudgeon[profile] evynrudeand [profile] kriz1818will be joning us for a session of Atomic Sock Monkey's Zorcerer of Zo[profile] chaduCallay! Oh Frabjous day!

The scenario is will hopefully be both self-contained and part of a four part series - if everyone likes it we can hopefully keep it up on a quartrly basis for 2007, whenever Candorite can make it down. If people are only lukewarm on it, well, the other 3 groups that went out will finish their parts of the quest as well. Covering all bases, that's me.

The working plan is entitled "The Fourth Witch", and it shows what happens when you forget to invite *all* of the major magical folk to a royal wedding! The Princess Morphea or Rosso is due to be wed after decades of curse-induced slumber when one of the four witches of Zo takes offense about being snubbed for the grand do of the year. Her poor father, King Glamorgan, just a shade of his former self whose spirit refuses to pass from this realm until he sees his daughter married (and perhaps with heir, which would not do wonders for my wedding night jitters...), once again has to call on the upright folk of Zo to rescue his daughter. Hopefully this time it won't take twenty frikin' years!

For once my darling wife is planning to join us, with a PC designed specifically around the idea of baby care:

For those of you who were wondering what a ZoZ character might look like, there's an example.
