Gamer Memory
Sep. 13th, 2007 09:50 pmRan into a friend of Dr. Dushay's yesterday - the guy who was lived in our building who was and occasional gamer. He played in the "Pilot Episode" of the 1001 New York Nights game. I couldn't remember his name, but we did a face recognition thing that let us pretend to remember more about each other while we said "Hi". Other than that little bit I could remember nothing about the man.
His CHARACTER was an Everyman Hero named Hiro, the son of a Chinese martial arts master who became a beat cop in New York. He was perky, enthusiastic and teamed with a bitter, cynical Steven Richard "Rick" Delaney. In the main fight with the protection racket muscle man in the tailor's shop Hiro grabbed a clothes rack off the wall and open ended on the positive die to deliver 27 points of damage on a single hit.
I can't remember the guys name, but the game session is crystal clear.
Gamer memory.
