Even when you're fighting down low-end nausea, nagging pain and the after-effect of opiates, it's still fun to hack around with D&D character sheets and spend money on magic items. I find this to be a great comfort.
For those of you wondering, the lithotripsy isn't a problem; the stent they install afterward sucks. I just have to go on the doctor's promise that things would be worse without it.

Date: 2006-09-12 10:42 am (UTC)I didn't get much out of the lithotripsy I underwent, which is why the consultant took it out under general anaesthetic later on.
(and the pedant in me has to point out 14mm = 0.6 of an inch. Sorry!)
