My co-GM and I agreed on a scale where the normal human maximum was 5. So I would have cut several of his stats down. Intelligent not necessarily, since he clearly has a superhuman intellect. I might have allowed one or two social influence stats to go up to 6.

I would certainly agree with that sort of thing, though my inclination is to downshift the weight associated with 0 AP to 12 lbs and make human maximum for all stats a 7. It gives a wide curve than 1-5. The scads of sample characters are insane, however, with Changeling having an INT of 5 and Lois Lane, one of the world's greatest investigative reporters, has a INT of 3. Huh? A clearer scale of where the human maximums are could only help the fidelity of the translations, so why isn't it there - even if it's a cap of 10 for all stats except STR and BODY it would at least let me judge things.

I have no problem with the Action attribute being designated the Aiming stat, and agree that a character with a high DEX and a High Energy Blast has at least had to spread his points around rather than just max out on Energy Blast. I would probably also let characters buy a skill with their power or set up an Action Value for it, for people with really accurate lightning bolts who aren't smart, spiritual or dexterous. The key is preventing a specialist from dominating the game.
