Once I got myself into the proper Harry Harrison/Roger Zelanzy mindset of the insanely overskilled hero this was a fun read, although the protagonist's inability to see the time loop coming made it clear he couldn't be as smart as he appeared.

The default world of time travllers is very logical and well thought out, but I just didn't see enough hooks for me as a GM. But if I do run a full scale "you have time travel" game I will surely be raiding this book for ideas on time combat and paradoxes.
