Playing Catch-up
Aug. 12th, 2008 08:13 amI haven't been posting a lot lately, in part because of work stresses and in part because I'm getting distracted by politics (which I generally try to avoid on my LJ, trying to keep it games related). I will be posting more in the next few days to catch up on a few things.
But I did want to share this: Ta-Nehisi Coates has just started blogging for the Atlantic (Taking the place of Matt Yglaseas, who I quite liked for his referencing X-Men when he learned that the DNC had a committee pushing the Phoenix Initiative: "do we really want to risk a war with the Sh'iar?"). Amongst the politics and sports he's also blogging about his decision to teach his 8 year old how to play D&D. There's also a musings on Black Nerd culture that I found interesting. But the shot of his son old at the gaming table with the old school AD&D module covers making an ad-hoc GM screen is just precious.
