Feb. 8th, 2008 07:44 am from this old, laptop woioth its dying keyboard. The nice peoople froom Dell will b coming by latr today with a new laptop which will, one can oonly hope, include a keyboard that does snot stick or skip yes with such ditrubing rgularity. I amm posting this coomment in the un-corrected formmat so that you can ee wht happes on a regular bais. I's a god cover for my bad typing, but it's really irritating - especially when trying to entr passwords.
the old mmachine has srved us well. We got it with netcurmudgeon 's assitance some years ago from Pratt' refurbished laptops. Time and evoolution have outdonee it howeveer. It's speed makees internet surfing problematic and I can't access sommee pages without it freezing up. i don't need on of those new sstems with graphic cards and processing speeds sufficient to play the betet of high quality video games beecause I'm happir with my dice and rulbooks, but I do want something that is not quite so far behind the tech curve.
Deell playd a nasty trick on wednesday bu droopping ooff mmy new printr but not the laptop - got my hopes up and eeverrything - but I have coonfirmation that the new machine will turn up today and we can enter the real of 21st century computing.
