Pre-Thanksgiving Thoughts
Nov. 21st, 2007 02:29 pm A Pre-Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
Had a gamer brain moment, where the banner read "Seven Strategies for the Holidays" and my brain read "Seven Stirges For the Holidays", which would be much bloodier.
When you have a toddler, the rapidity in which your house becomes cluttered is mitigated only by how little work you need to apply for your new post-toddler brain to think that the house is clean again. Having to clean before hosting Thanksgiving makes it perfectly clear how your post toddler clutter meter has been reset.
So far I have 4 of 13 sets of votes on the campaign prospectus. I hate waiting. Not that I'm planning to run these games before january, but I'm dying to know what reference books I'll be bringing with me on vacation.
In defense against the already omnipresent Christmas Music I'll be listening to wholly non-Christmas fare until after Thanksgiving dinner. Currently it's Warren Zevon's Learning to Flinch. It's not that I don't like Christmas music, but can with finish the previous damn holiday first?
