I saw a pair of photos of Kirk&Spock, one Shatner&Nimoy, the other Pine&Quinto, and yes, the age difference is startling. The Sixties crew were two men, the Oughties team are two boys.
But, hey, this is a new age of youth, right? Hope triumphing over experience, and all that. It's just the zeitgeist haunting you.
