When you see headlines like "Shark attacks drop; expert cites ailing economy" you have to wonder if they're being serious or it's a dark commentary ont he nature of the news media....

While the economy is a possible explanation, shark populations also have declined due to commercial fishing. In some areas, the number of sharks is down to 10 percent of the original populations.

So perfectly adapted that they haven't changed for millions of years, and now...

(And we call them "killing machines.")
